Seamless onboarding and dynamic growth

Oliver Böhm joined our team in March 2023 – so his first impressions are still fresh. His case shows: Even as a trainee, you can take on responsibility at AlfaPeople and work in exciting projects. Young employees are encouraged and challenged at our company. Nevertheless, no one must jump into the deep end: We ensure that talents can develop at their own pace and therefore rely on onboarding that offers both freedom and support.

Starting out as assistent

I’ve only been with the company for a few months, but I’ve been able to hit the ground running: my two mentors have given me concrete tasks in which I can both contribute my strengths and learn new things. I came more from the user side, now I’m learning as a “shadow” how the implementation works.

Personal and international

In the beginning I had to stop myself: I would have preferred to do everything straight away. But it was helpful that I was able to understand the project and our approach bit by bit through the DevOps structure. Through my onboarding in Herford and Zurich, I was able to get to know many colleagues personally – that was very important to me: teamwork is everything in the complex projects that we implement together here. As part of an international team from Microsoft’s Inner Circle, I can develop myself further even further.

Success in the team

I was able to draw a key learning from my very first project: A clear project structure and organisation are the key to successful implementation. AlfaPeople puts a lot of emphasis on this – and when everything is organised in such a way, you quickly find your way into the team, even as a newcomer.
