Provance ITSM for Microsoft Dynamics CRM suite goes German

Provance, our long-term partner in the area of ITSM for Microsoft Dynamics CRM products, has listened to its loyal customers and delivered a German language package for its latest version 9.5. All ITSM user interfaces, in accordance with Microsoft Dynamics CRM systems, are now also available in German.

But that’s not all! There are also some new and essential innovations for our clients in German-speaking Europe to enjoy.

Service Mapping Improvement

In the latest version of Provance ITSM, a separate service map unit has been added to facilitate the segmentation of service maps and versions. The service map entity is associated with either a business service or a technical service and has a relationship to configuration items called primary nodes. This enables our customers to define uniform configurations at the business service or technical service level, which can be used to display infrastructure reports, for example.

Configuration Management

Provance Configuration Management tracks, approves and implements changes to services (business and technical). Service maps can play a crucial role in business service planning (service design package) or for smaller change requests planned for a technical service. Alternatively, they can also be used for larger changes, where changes to a technical service can also affect the entire service plan. Technical services and service maps are implemented in the current release.

Time Entry

Employees will soon be able to track their times on all incidents, problems, service requests and change requests. With the corresponding form, billable times as well as non-billable times can be recorded and tracked in the system. The creation of additional references enables a user-defined roll-up for fees related to services, assets and projects. Additional attachments and/or notes can also be added to each entry.

Provance Service Platform (PSP)

The Provance Service Platform (PSP) is an optional feature that is installed outside Dynamics 365 on a Windows server either in the Azure Cloud or on-premise. The PSP is a replacement for the former “Provance Data Management Server (PDMS)”, which is no longer supported in 9.4 and later.

The PSP operates a number of optional services and gateways that provide integration services with operational tools, such as:

  • Azure DevOps
  • Azure Intune
  • System Center Configuration Manager
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Office 365 Service Messages
  • A range of other Provance services and gateways
