Victoria’s Promise Charity Ball

This year, AlfaPeople have decided to put a focus on giving back to the community and charities with significance to our staff and our customers. It is with this in mind, that we announce our sponsorship of the Victoria’s Promise Ball.

The Victoria’s Promise charity was founded in memory of Victoria Van der Westhuizen, a passionate advocate for the battle against cancer who tragically lost her life to the disease. Set up with the support of her family, Victoria’s Promise responds to a need for support in young women with cancer.

The services provided by Victoria’s Promise help young women feel like they have a hand to hold whilst undergoing cancer treatment and traveling on a journey back to health. Funds raised for Victoria’s Promise go towards all the little and big things that help, from wig funding to counseling and beauticians or skincare specialists for chemotherapy patients.

Donation options include:

  • £40: Pays counselling session, helping women deal with treatment and diagnosis.
  • £50: Pays for a specialist oncology massage, with specialist oils and techniques.
  • £75: Pays for a chemotherapy skincare and make-up treatment, tutorial, and starter kit.
  • £500: Pays for a high quality, breathable wig.

The Victoria’s Promise charity ball is among the largest fundraising events for the organization, with this year’s being held at De Vere Beaumont House, Windsor. The night is made up of welcome drinks, a three-course dinner by MasterChef finalist Jackie Kearney, a live band and an auction. AlfaPeople will be sponsoring the Champagne Reception in support of the event.

If it sounds like something you would like to take part in, you can book your table or purchase tickets here.

A huge thank you to Leon Rakitzis, Senior Dynamics 365 Consultant, and AlfaPeople UK, who brought this admirable charity to our attention.
