Important update: Price changes for Dynamics 365 Business Central starting October 2025
Microsoft has announced the first price update in more than five years for Dynamics 365 Business Central, its cloud-based business management solution for small and midsize companies. This change will take effect on October 1, 2025 and will apply to both new subscriptions and renewals.
This adjustment reflects the platform’s continuous evolution, which in recent years has added hundreds of new capabilities to meet today’s challenges: the integration of Microsoft Copilot with artificial intelligence, expanded capabilities in finance, manufacturing, and supply chain, a new sustainability module, deeper interoperability with Power Platform, and increased included storage per license.
New prices effective October 1, 2025
License | Current price | New price | Current storage | New storage |
Essentials | USD 70 | USD 80 | 2 GB | 3 GB |
Premium | USD 100 | USD 110 | 3 GB | 5 GB |
Device | USD 40 | USD 45 | 1 GB | 1.5 GB |
Impact for organizations
Companies should consider this update in their license planning:
- New subscriptions or renewals before October 1, 2025: there is an option to lock in current pricing with 1-year or 3-year commitments, keeping rates fixed for the entire period.
- New subscriptions or renewals after that date: the new official prices will apply either at the start of the subscription or at the next renewal cycle.
A change backed by greater value
This price update reflects the expanded value of Business Central in recent years, including:
- AI-powered Copilot for process support and automation.
- Automatic reconciliations and real-time financial analytics.
- Enhancements in manufacturing, supply chain, and master data management.
- New sustainability module.
- Deeper integration with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
- Increased included storage per user.
