Day by day at AlfaPeople

My name is Rafael Lopes, I started my time at AlfaPeople in September 2005 and I can say that my story at AlfaPeople is intertwined with the company’s own history here in Brazil.
I have a degree in Business Administration. In college, I directed my studies to the financial field and I confess that I didn’t imagine working with technology at that time. I was invited to a selection process at AlfaPeople that focused on recruiting university students for training. In the selection process, I understood that it was a company in its early years, with experienced professionals, extremely passionate about their work and who bet heavily on the partnership with Microsoft.
I joined AlfaPeople with the role of Junior Functional Consultant. At that time, I worked closely with senior consultants and made my first contact with Dynamics CRM. I had a chance to participate in projects from the beginning. From the survey of processes to the implementation of customizations and finalizing with the training of users.
Even in my first months, I was invited to be part of the commercial team and this was a watershed in my career, no doubt. Once again, I had the chance to work closely with more experienced people than I did and I was able to learn how to conduct a complex solution sales process while making my first sales.
In 2009, the company’s Board of Directors decided to invest in the creation of a training center. They understood that there was room to support Microsoft and its own structure in training professionals to work with technology. I was then invited to lead the structuring of a new company within the group, FYI Learning Solutions. In a short time, the company became the only Microsoft Approved Training Center focusing on official training for Dynamics.
Today, as the human resources management lead, I have my daily activities dedicated to the human material of AlfaPeople Brazil. In this position, I dedicate 100% of my time to the recruitment and selection processes, resource onboarding, coaching, career follow-up feedbacks and talent retention initiatives.
Alfa’s Day and End-of-Year Party
AlfaPeople Brasil maintains at least two major annual events in order to bring the whole team together, communicate the company’s direction and integrate the team. We have already visited museums and parks, kart racing, sports and musical events.
Together with three other professionals of the team, I participated in NEXB, the rock band of AlfaPeople Brazil. We perform a few times at company events. These were fantastic experiences.
