1. Background of the Project.

The Subsecretary of Education required the implementation, maintenance and evolutionary support of a platform called “Platform for the recognition and professional development of teachers”, implemented as a result of Law No. 20,903. The objective of said platform would be to manage the payment of the allocation of the teaching professional development section, of the performance allocation in establishments with a high concentration of priority students and of the professional recognition bonus, in accordance with the provisions of articles 49, 50 and 54 of the Decree with Force of Law No. 1, of 1996, of the Ministry of Education. The platform should have a web portal where declarations will be made monthly by the supporters of the establishments they manage, entering the detail per teacher of days worked and validating normal contract hours, re-settlements, replacement teacher. The service should allow with what was declared to perform the calculation of assignments and once the process of calculating the assignments was concluded, publish through the web environment in the supporter’s portal, the detail of the assignments by teacher and establishment.

2. How was the Digital Transformation process in the Subsecretary of Education?

Since it would be a new platform, it was requested that this platform should be in the cloud, that the technological issue not suffer from obsolescence and that the software to be used be a world-class product that would allow the Subsecretary to only worry about functional development, leaving the issue technician was supported by experts of the brand of the product that was chosen. As a result, there is a robust platform, and the functional team has dedicated itself to improving functionality without having to waste time and resources on equipment and technical issues.

3. What was the reason for adapting Microsoft Dynamics 365 to the institution?

An RFI was carried out to the market that allowed identifying which technological tool would be most appropriate for the needs of those who cover the areas, looking as users at the supporters, teachers and the internal functional team of the Teaching Career that would be the administrator of the calculation results and give response to inquiries from teachers and supporters via a friendly CRM environment connected with tools such as Excel that allows downloading information in a very simple way. All of the above was covered by Dynamics365.

4. How was the roadmap of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 project?

The initial expectations were reflected in a first public tender that allowed us to develop the project in one year and the second-year continuous improvement. To date, calculation processes continue to be added to allow the automation of 100% of the allocations that must be calculated and then transferred to the supporters. One of the topics that helped us a lot was the rapid implementation of CRM functions that are connected to the query portal for teachers on Law 20,903, allowing responses to be managed in a timely manner.

5. What were the expected benefits in terms of implementation?

The expectation was that the implementer would develop the project, complying with the functional and technical design processes, then comply with functional approval, moving on to implementation, testing, production and finally accompanying us in post-production, which is a stage in which incidents occur. at a technical platform level and what corresponds to functional issues. The foregoing was fulfilled by the implementer who allowed the project to achieve the stated objective.

6. What is the Area of the Subsecretary of Education that benefits most from this project?

The beneficiary unit is Bonos Carrera Docente, which belongs to the National Subsidies Unit of the Subsecretary of Education, where the calculations and payments of teachers’ subsidies are processed.
