AlfaPeople Brazil opens new office in Recife
Proximity to our customers means many things for us at AlfaPeople. In practical terms, it also means geographical expansion. In Brazil, we’re thrilled to announce the opening of a fourth office, this time in Recife, in the country’s northeast.
Brazil is a continental country: 4,319km from east to west and 4,394km from north to south. It has 26 states and more than 5,000 municipalities, where thousands of potential customers are based.
For the last four years, AlfaPeople Brazil has been investing in the strategy of expanding our geographic coverage, with offices in the main capitals of the country. In addition to our headquarter in São Paulo (SP), we opened offices in Belo Horizonte (MG) and Porto Alegre (RS). Recently, we took another step in our strategy by opening an office in Recife (PE). This office will serve the entire northeast region, made up of nine of the 26 Brazilian states.
In addition to delivering AlfaPeople Brazil’s entire offering in the northeast, our Recife office will seek to become a Technology and Development Center, housing young developers in a software model that supports projects across Brazil. Pernambuco is one of the Brazilian states that invests the most in youth education, with social and educational policies that boast a strong focus on technology. The state is becoming a point of attraction for companies, including for AlfaPeople Brazil as reflected in this major decision for our company.
The new office is already hard at work, with customers who were served by the São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre offices, and who belonged to the northeast, now being served by our Recipe team. Immediate outcomes have been the reduction in the service SLA, with consultants closer to clients, meaning savings in expenses, especially travel and accommodation of consultants, and hourly rates based on local costs.
Microsoft Brazil has also expressed to us its excitement about this new operation, since AlfaPeople Recife will strengthen the reach of its technologies in a high potential region that has otherwise been underexplored.
But we haven’t stopped! AlfaPeople Brazil still plans to open offices in other regions of the country to continue this exciting local expansion.
