AlfaPeople signs Microsoft Partner Pledge

January 5 2022:

AlfaPeople kicks off the New Year by signing the Microsoft Partner Pledge. This pledge is a statement of intent to focus on areas where AlfaPeople can have a beneficial impact on society.

The Microsoft Partner Pledge consists of five pillars:

  • Digital Skills
  • Diversity
  • Responsible and Ethical AI
  • Sustainability
  • Cybersecurity

Even though this is a European initiative from Microsoft, all 13 subs at AlfaPeople have agreed to work and focus on these five pillars.

The Digital Skills pillar includes raising awareness of digital skills initiatives and taking advantages of all opportunities to provide staff with new skills training to help prepare for the challenges of the future.

It is important that our industry reflects and supports society, and that we keep working to improve the Diversity of our technology. This second pillar deals with policies and plans to improve inclusion, including recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce and ensuring that managers have a deep understanding and commitment to building an inclusive culture within the organization.

Responsible and Ethical AI means ensuring that Artificial Intelligence is developed and implemented in responsible and ethical ways. This is done by ensuring that AI development contains four important qualities: fairness, accountability, explainable development, and ethics.

The fourth pillar relates to Sustainability. AlfaPeople will reduce the carbon footprint in terms of four aspects: conversations, partnerships, transparency, and tools that manage and monitor our carbon footprint.

Finally, signing the Microsoft Partner Pledge also means working together to combat the threat of Cybersecurity and cyberespionage through partnerships and awareness.

We at AlfaPeople are excited to be a part of this initiative. We are bringing awareness and focus to five important elements in the way that we work with technology and digital development. AlfaPeople considers them crucial aspects in committing to a relevant, smart, and sustainable way of digitizing the way we work and how we do business.
