The power of teamwork and continuous learning
Joao Diogo Freitas joined us in January 2022 as a Supply Chain Management Business Consultant with broad experience – yet he is still learning. He explains here why the environment at AlfaPeople still challenges and encourages him despite his many years of expertise.
Always learning new things
I was already very experienced when I started at AlfaPeople: 12 years of project work in software implementation. Nevertheless, onboarding is and remains necessary and important for every new team member – I was no exception. Even though there were no more surprises for me, I was still glad to get time to meet the team at AlfaPeople. Everyone has their own routines and processes, and coordination is important. Although I already had experience in similar projects, every project at AlfaPeople since then has presented a new learning curve – this is exactly the kind of challenge I am looking for.
Performance live
Constantly adapting to new situations and people while delivering the best performance is an important and exciting part of our job. We also notice this in every Go Live: every company has its own culture, every employee their own personality. Respecting my colleagues and growing together into a strong team is therefore high on my list of priorities. In a good working environment, people exchange ideas and help each other. That’s why I deliberately chose AlfaPeople instead of going to a large cooperation. Here I am closer to the real business and can contribute more to the team.

With experience to the finish line
What still impresses me most are the colleagues and the team spirit at AlfaPeople. Everyone is committed and willing to share their knowledge. We work together as a unit and support each other to achieve the project goals. In difficult situations, my experience helps me: I can respond to the different cultures and personalities of the team members to overcome resistance and maintain a positive working atmosphere.
Together to the top
At AlfaPeople, everyone wants to get better and better. This requires cooperation and trust. The appreciation shown to each team member and the emphasis on personal and professional development create an environment where you feel encouraged to grow – so that the learning curves remain steep without becoming unconquerable.
Our colleagues Hamad and Oliver also tell us about their start at AlfaPeople. Hamad tells here how mentoring has helped his learning curves. Oliver’s impressions as a trainee are still fresh.
