The First Successful Industry Day@AlfaPeople
The Lenkwerk in Bielefeld was the ideal location for the Industry Day@AlfaPeople on the 13th of November. Create the Future – Innovation for Fashion and Retail was the theme for the day that AlfaPeople Germany invited customers and interested industry parties too. In a nutshell, it was an extremely successful event. The participants absorbed the speakers’ information with great interest and explored their impressions further at the Demo Points and in conversations during the coffee breaks.
With his keynote “Digitization and Change in the Industry”, Karsten Schopp, General Manager, gave an insight into current challenges for companies in the areas of customer loyalty, communication and market leadership in general. Then, he pointed out ways opportunities could be exploited with the help of technological innovations in digitization and targeted integration of artificial intelligence.
Technology in Change: Cloud and Azure was the next topic to focus on the benefits of the cloud, led by Karsten Schopp and Björn Wildenhain. In this area, Microsoft provides effective tools such as Power BI, Power Apps and Microsoft Flow to cope with companies’ daily work, creating solutions quickly and significantly improving effectiveness.
After a break for lunch, the focus was turned to processes in the fashion business. Steffen Rohrbach presented the current ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, more specifically with the integrated Porini Suite for Microsoft Dynamics 365. This AlfaPeople solution from ‘one source’ supports and optimizes the processes for fashion, retail, shoes and textiles in an exceptional way.
Sven Vry and Phillip Plum from WW-Consulting, AlfaPeople’s partner, presented an app called “#Digitalization with Touch”, which implements information exchange and communication in companies very conveniently, e.g. both between employees, or from the companies to customers.
The event was completed by Götz Braake from W.I.R. gewinnt, with his topic “Magnetic Employee Management”. In an entertaining speech he explained what motivates employees and gave hints on how to turn employees into motivated employees through the right approach of managers.
Lively discussions on the topics of the day took place during the breaks and at the end of the Industry Day@AlfaPeople. Further details were discussed and an idea of the applications were given during the demo points, which included:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Fashion and Retail with Porini for Dynamics 365
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Engagement
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail
- Power BI
- Microsoft Flow
- Power Apps
All the Industry Day@AlfaPeople participants agreed that they had enjoyed a successful event and this, of course, motivates our AlfaPeople team to immediately start planning the next Industry Day@AlfaPeople.
