Microsoft Honors AlfaPeople Chile as Partner of the Year for their Work with the Chilean Government

2017-Partner of the year-LATAM

Microsoft honored AlfaPeople with the Partner of the Year award in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) category for Latin America and the Caribbean region for the second year in a row. This is a source of great pride for the company.

This award rewards the results, effort and teamwork – in conjunction with Microsoft – involved in adapting Dynamics 365 for the Chilean government, the only ERP to include the “Public Sector” vertical development for government implementations. In addition, AlfaPeople is the first company in Latin America to adapt said vertical development to our reality, “which makes us major players in the Chilean digital agenda, contributing innovative solutions that lead to more efficient institutions”, said AlfaPeople Chile CEO, Felipe De Vidts.

The adopted platform is already being used by the Ministry of Education and it covers a variety of needs, such as budget management, Human Resources, fiscal accounting and management of fixed assets, among others.

Nationally Scalable ERP

Although the upgrade was made due to a specific requirement from the Chilean educational authority, the numerous different attributes of the software developed in-house by AlfaPeople Chile have enabled the company to project its introduction into other markets in the region, such as Colombia and Costa Rica.

“A long-term line of innovation was presented in order to generate a product that adds significant value. The result is an ERP with the necessary potential to have a regional presence. We have an excellent foundation that we can build standards on, therefore, it is a system that can be perfectly adapted to different customers’ needs”, adds Felipe De Vidts.

All of these points were taken into account by Microsoft when it came time to assess the dozens of projects presented by several developers from all over Latin America for the Partner of the Year award, many of which came from regional powerhouses like Brazil and Mexico. The competition was tough, but this couldn’t keep AlfaPeople Chile from once again receiving a Microsoft award.

“This is not the first time we’ve received an award, which we believe is twice as valuable because earning this type of recognition from Chile is quite out of the ordinary”, states the executive.

This way, in conjunction with Microsoft, key strategic and investment guidelines were established that will allow them to serve as allies for the institutions in the region, and specifically, support government bodies in their tough process of improving integration and efficiency.

The Partner of the Year award will be handed out on Tuesday, July 11th at a ceremony in Washington DC that will bring together the winners of the different categories with Microsoft executives. The traditional Regional Celebration will be held right after the awards along with all of the members linked to Microsoft Inspire.
