Direct integration despite language barriers

No German language skills, but work experience? That was the situation in October 2022 when Syed Hammad Ali wanted to start working for us. No problem at AlfaPeople! Here Hamad reports on his start. His summary: The mentoring and expertise of our team help keep the job challenging and exciting – also in English.

Integrative focus

When I started at AlfaPeople, I was lucky enough to get directly involved in an interesting project. In my role, the focus is mainly on the technical aspects, especially integrations: This includes the integration of customer data and contacts, as well as the integration of discounts and production-related processes and interfaces. I am also responsible for change requests, assisted with data migration and ensured a smooth go-live.

Mentoring

At first glance, this is a big package for a new employee. However, it helped me that I can look back on eight years of professional experience in this field, as I had also worked with integrations before. I have built a framework for integrations in other projects, for example by implementing log forms for all requests and responses. But all that experience doesn’t help if you’re not well integrated into the new team – but my new colleagues did a great job of that! For me, onboarding plays an important role for every company, as it helps to understand the philosophy and spirit of the company. At AlfaPeople, I had the feeling that the onboarding was especially close due to the mentoring system.

My input is heard, and I feel well supported and integrated right from the start – a smooth transition!

Expert panel

One of the main reasons I chose AlfaPeople was the great qualifications of my new colleagues: so much knowledge and experience in team leadership and project management! Despite (or because of) this, the team is always open to suggestions and ideas. My input is heard, and I feel well supported and integrated right from the beginning – a smooth start!

Learning curves

For me, it is particularly important to have learning curves in my job and not just to do monotonous work. I therefore appreciate the opportunity to continuously train and improve my skills. Since joining the company, I have taken a fresh look at the collection of customer requirements. I was not aware of its importance before – although customer retention is a focus of my work. I am happy to be part of a team that cultivates the exchange of knowledge in this way.

Our colleagues Joao and Oliver also report on their start at AlfaPeople. Joao tells here about his onboarding as a project manager, Oliver’s impressions as a trainee are still fresh.
