Aligning your system to the company’s processes is fundamental to succeed implementing an ERP system. Thinking about the above, Microsoft offers within its tool LCS (Lifecycle Services) the capability of modeling the company’s processes with Dynamics 365 (D365) system. In addition, Microsoft offers the possibility of using the standard process library to APQC endorsed (American Productivity and Quality Center). This center is the world’s leading authority on process improvement and benchmarking, best practices and knowledge management. Its goal is to help improving management of competitiveness and productivity of organizations; so that they can be taken as reference on best practices processes, and will help to personalize them according to the particularities of the company relating them to Dynamics 365.

But how does this work? Lifecycle Services is hosted on a Microsoft cloud-based portal that has access to the entire Microsoft Customers and Partners deployment team. The following link corresponds to this portal. It has several support tools related to the implementation of Dynamics 365 enterprise system, such as: methodology management, project phases, progress and access to documents related to each stage; Support and incident management with Microsoft, access to the Microsoft knowledge base, licensing estimator, deployment and management of hosted and Azure-based Dynamics 365 environments, business process modeling, among others.[/fusion_text][fusion_imageframe lightbox=”no” gallery_id=”” lightbox_image=”” style_type=”none” hover_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” borderradius=”0″ stylecolor=”” align=”none” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” hide_on_mobile=”no” class=”” id=””] [/fusion_imageframe][fusion_imageframe lightbox=”no” gallery_id=”” lightbox_image=”” style_type=”none” hover_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” borderradius=”0″ stylecolor=”” align=”none” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” hide_on_mobile=”no” class=”” id=””] [/fusion_imageframe][fusion_text]The Business Process Modeler allows you to link the D365 system to Core and Business Support processes of the company’s areas and industry type: Financial Services, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Retail and Services.

Processes can be structured according to the level of detail required, allowing to diagram and link the level of process – activity (more detailed) with the system, keeping an integrated process repository accessible to the organization’s stakeholders.

Additionally it allows relating processes with the Task Recorder, and how the user should perform the process step by step within the system. These guides can be verbally displayed, in video and directly into the system through a user guide assisted; this contributes in training and agile learning of the users.

LCS allows to create process libraries for both Microsoft clients and libraries defined by Partners for their verticals (ISV) or implementation methodologies, which permits to standardize processes and reuse them in different implementation projects. This is ideal for projects where D365 is implemented in the subsidiaries or affiliates that are part of a business group. This option allows the possibility of reusing processes between libraries, in this way – if desired – the tool allows to take as a starting point the process library APQC (already supported in the D365 system) and customize them according to the particularities of each company or incorporate the processes already defined in the organization.[/fusion_text][fusion_imageframe lightbox=”no” gallery_id=”” lightbox_image=”” style_type=”none” hover_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” borderradius=”0″ stylecolor=”” align=”none” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” hide_on_mobile=”no” class=”” id=””] [/fusion_imageframe][fusion_text]This modeling and process management is very intuitive, and it is possible to do it with the flow chart directly connected with the task recording tool of D365, that is, it is created based on the step-by-step recording by the user.

This flow chart can be adjusted and customized with additional detail elements as required. But as a second option, LCS allows the management of processes with Visio diagrams which are already defined in the organization and reflect certain company processes, so these diagrams may be imported, stored and viewed from LCS, as Plus allows monitoring of processes that have been tested and approved during the D365 system implementation.[/fusion_text][fusion_imageframe lightbox=”no” gallery_id=”” lightbox_image=”” style_type=”none” hover_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” borderradius=”0″ stylecolor=”” align=”none” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” hide_on_mobile=”no” class=”” id=””] [/fusion_imageframe][fusion_text]Microsoft continues to improve and divulge the LCS tool as a lifecycle manager for Microsoft Dynamics 365 application for operations, providing a collaborative workspace where the company’s modeling business process becomes standardized, defined, and linked to the solution.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
