Transforming Patient Safety in 2019 and Beyond – an Introduction to Eva

Logo Eva Application

Join us for an intimate gathering of forward-thinking patient safety leaders to explore how we can make better use of technology and harness the power of data to transform the serious incident investigation process.

Beginning with a high-level discussion on how to improve patient safety through better shared learning and the role that technology plays in this, attendees will then have the chance to see the Eva Investigation Tool for themselves and discover how it can support healthcare organisations to do just that.

Ahead of the event, attendees will be asked to complete a questionnaire to identify key questions and issues they would like to put to our lead investigator Chris Brougham (also Director at Verita), who has over 15 years’ experience leading incident investigations. Chris will then host a ‘shared learning session’ where she will offer the group her advice and lessons on best practice and give participants the opportunity to share their own experiences and learnings. For those who would prefer to speak to her on-one-one, she’ll also be hosting a drop-in clinic over refreshments.

Why you should attend:

We encourage all those responsible for managing patient safety practice in a healthcare organisation, or anyone with an interest in pioneering new ways of conducting incident investigations, to attend this unique event.

Previous attendees have included:

What is Eva?

The Eva Investigation application is a ground-breaking new tool which helps organisations to conduct higher quality, standardised investigations, and harness this data to help identify recurring, thematic issues which need to be addressed.

  • The application is easy-to-use, guiding investigators through a standardised process and supporting them with tips and training along the way, before generating a formatted report with the click of a button.
  • Healthcare organisations have access to dashboards, providing them with an overview of the volume and status of all investigations within their domain, leading to deeper analysis, better insights and more informed recommendations.
  • Eva gives patients and families access to their own portal, offering support, clarity and transparency, while improving their understanding of the investigation process.
