Three months in and it feels like yesterday that we both sat for our respective interviews, nervous and excited at the impressive opportunities in front of us. Following the exciting news, and having dusted ourselves down from our New Year celebrations, it was time to step foot into the world of business – technology.

We were welcomed by everyone within the company at the Henley Kick Off at the start of the year. Already time has passed in the blink of an eye, whereby we find ourselves now fully immersed in the busy, thriving AlfaPeople environment.

Reflecting on this, we would like to share with you the six factors that contribute to our daily enjoyment of working at AlfaPeople.

1. People:

Everyone at AlfaPoeple is so welcoming. They have made us both feel at home from day one. The team atmosphere is great and a huge plus, with everyone helping and assisting you so that you can hit the ground running when you arrive.

2. Atmosphere & Culture:

Our company culture is one that stems on a balanced working, and out of work lifestyle, as well as a ‘hard work’, pays off ethos. The company also lends a lot of time to exercise and there are lunchtime runs as well as company outings that are orientated around sporting activities. Our start of the year Kicks off down at Henley on the Thames being a real standout! Although trying to row with two people simultaneously on one rowing machine was pretty difficult, it was great fun and excellent team building.

3. Fast Paced and ever-changing:

Technology is constantly changing and so are the industries that we work with. Keeping up with such fast innovations and transformations is challenging, but also very exciting and rewarding. Every day proves to further develop our knowledge making the work we different from the day before.

4. The investment in us:

As graduates, AlfaPeople have shown their true support towards us investing the time and effort to ensure we are fully ready for the professional environment and able to land on our feet. From speaking with colleagues to full-on training, it is a continual learning curve and one that AlfaPeople encourage. Having already been on a training week up in Manchester, the next steps of further training are already being made.

5. Perks:

But first – coffee. Within the office, there are coffee pods which mean, addicts like Will, can feed their addiction, as well as a food cupboard with lots of snacks & brain food. This means that you’re a fully catered for at work which is a huge bonus. Maintaining the fit company culture, we work to achieve our daily steps with Vitality Health and love some discounts through Perkbox.

6. Location:

We couldn’t ask for a better location to thrive in. Situated within the heart of the City we enjoy the buzz of London as well as having a simple commute into and out of work. Our office is a great space to work in. AlfaPeople also offers the flexibility to work from home which puts the icing on the cake, especially on a Friday after a famous AlfaThursday.

Summary: All six factors have meant that our first three months have been an exciting learning curve to start our AlfaPeople careers. Although still labeled the kiddies, we both feel that we are part of the team and proud to be Alfas.
