AlfaPeople Awarded G-Cloud 9

We are pleased to announce that AlfaPeople UK has been awarded G-Cloud 9 for Cloud Software and Cloud Support. This follows our achievement in 2016, where AlfaPeople was awarded G-Cloud Framework 8 for Software as a Service – Microsoft Cloud Services.

G-Cloud is a digital marketplace for public sector clients searching for cloud-based software and support service providers. Being listed as a service provider on G-Cloud is subject to an application approval process.

G-Cloud 9 encompasses a variety of improvements for users and organisations that utilise the platform.

Recently, to the Digital Marketplace blog, Laura Flannery wrote:

“We’ve been working closely with our colleagues at the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and the Government Legal Department (GLD) over the last few months exploring the ways we can improve G-Cloud for buyers and suppliers. The changes for G-Cloud 9 (G9) are driven by the insights gained from user research conducted during our discovery and alpha”.

Among these changes is the definition of a new lot structure, designed to more accurately represent the cloud technology market. There are now three lots called ‘Cloud hosting’, ‘Cloud software’ and ‘Cloud support’.

On the announcement, Philip Rawlinson – Managing Director of AlfaPeople UK writes:

“We are tremendously pleased with this affirmation of what we can provide the UK public sector – as we continue to deliver best in class, value-based solutions which support the digital transformation story of public sector organisations”.
